I Tease....

This spring weather has gotten me in the mood for doing a little make over, nothing very big, just taking something a little boring and making it that much nicer to live with, but at the moment its not quite ready so I'll tease you with this photo to give you clues of what I'm up to...

Did someone say summer is coming....

The weather here in Jersey is sunny, in fact it has been for the last week or so, so this morning I thought it was about time to see what I have in my wardrobe from last summer, picture several pairs of jeans, cropped trousers and slightly worn out t-shirts, piled on the bed, accompanied by   a couple of pairs of sandals and a pair of flip flops, and I'm ashamed to say all that fits me are the flip flops and  sandals!  hence the photo above of a healthy salad and Omelette. Healthy eating here I come....again.

Pea and Tomato Omelette

2 eggs
handful of peas
3 or 4 cherry tomato's chopped
a pinch of paprika
about a table spoon of milk
salt and pepper.

Mix all ingredients together, pour into a pan and heat through until the top
starts to bubble, then put under the grill and brown the top,
pile a mixed salad onto a plate, sprinkle with balsamic vinagar
and a little olive oil, cut the omelette into quarters and
place on top of the salad.
Enjoy!

Retro meets Moroccan

From here

Don't you just love this mix together?  A bit retro with the classic tan leather sofa, and flashes of turquoise,  and a bit Moroccan with the rug and hammered steel barrels, all placed on a canvas of white to keep it clean fresh and modern.

Three Kitchens with Personality.

All images House to Home

Which one of these kitchens would be your ideal look?

Kitchen one,  clean white subway tiles and industrial sized cooker ready to whip up a culinary master piece, with a  nod to yesteryear, in the form of  vintage signage, weigh scales and bread bin.
Kitchen two, hand made painted units, Belfast sink, open plan shelves filled with pretty containers all ready for tea and cakes with friends.
Or kitchen three, the bespoke Eco friendly option, reclaimed chunky wooden shelving, salvaged floor tiles and recycled  plywood doors.
I can't decide so I think I'd have a bit from all three, subway tiles on the walls, industrial lighting, white kitchen cupboard with wooden work tops  filled with vintage containers and that all important kitchen aid cake mixer at the ready. What do you think?
