For the love of pigs, horses, and rabbits...met Ham.

All Images courtesy of Ham

Today I would like to introduce you to some quirky little characters, frolicking little pigs horses and rabbits,  from HAM,  founded and created by  Jo, a designer who trained as a fine artist, grew up on a farm in the shires and once had a pig called Primrose!

HAM captures unexpected moments from the contented lives of a pig, a horse and a rabbit and immortalises them on a range of thoughtfully crafted wares for  the home, such as aprons, tea towels, mugs and cards.
Jo loves things that are quirky and functional and believes that home-ware should be striking in appearance and made to last.  This is the first collection from HAM  who believe in supporting British industry, and for that reason have spent time carefully selecting UK suppliers to help craft the products.  Cups are created by a pottery in Stoke-on-Trent, the cards are printed by a family run press in Herefordshire, all fabric goodies are Lincolnshire made and photographic prints are fashioned by founder Jo’s fair hand.

Don't you just love the bouncing bunny?  There will be a pop-up Ham store opening  Thursday 14th of July to Sunday 14th  of August at 1.11 Kingly Court, Carnaby Street, London, W1, opening times - 10am to 7pm Monday to Saturday [Thursday until 8pm] and 12pm to 6pm Sunday.

Celebrating style.

The bentwood chair, 150 years on and still hard to beat. In 1859 Michael Thonet introduced this chair to the world as an affordable chair for the masses, and it has been in continues production since then. Join in the celebrations here before August 31st 2009

The first Vipp bin saw the light of day in 1939 when Holger Nielsen created it for his wife Marie’s hairdressing salon. Vipp is celebrating its 70th anniversary by producing a miniature model of Holger Nielsen’s original Vipp pedal bin . The Vipp 70th Anniversary Edition has been produced in a scale of 1:5 and in a limited series of 400 numbered copies. So collectors on your marks...

Anglepoise is celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the first 1227 Anglepoise® lamp. To mark this occasion the original Anglepoise lamp from 1934 designed by George Carwardine is to be relaunched. This coincides with Anglepoise's 75th Anniversary and also the launch of 10 Royal Mail stamps that celebrate British Design icons including the Mini and the Concorde.
