Have you Visited Yvestown?

While I was having a little break from blogging last week, I couldn't help having a look around other peoples blogs, and came across Yvestown where I discovered these great little Paumes books of inspiration. Though they are written in Japanese, it does not really matter as the world of interiors is a universal language, and the images on the pages there to be enjoyed by all who care to. I feel this might be the beginning of a Paumes collection. For my first book I choose Apartment's de filles a Paris, which is filled to the brim with lovely homes created by the owners, and from what I can gather, how their jobs influence the decor of their homes. Hop over to Yvestown to investigate more in the series.

your Home magazine

Well one week off lead into two, but now I'm back, batteries renewed, and I'm rearing to go, so first up, a bit late in the month I know but its my Magazine of the month, and my choice for the month of July is a budget breaking steal of a deal at only £1.99, and it is Your Home magazine (http://www.yhmag.co.uk/) I have to admit that Your home is not on my top list of Homes magazines but the price caught my eye, and once I flicked through the pages realised its got plenty to offer, so if you haven't picked up a mag this month, Your Home is well worth the £1.99. The pull out section in the middle is a real bonus, Done in a day projects, step by step furniture face lift, learn new skills, Home maintenance and make do and mend. And if that little lot is not enough for you, how about 43 reader homes and makeovers to pour over, tasty summer recipes, 533 style on a shoestring, and the chance to win prizes!

What to do with twigs and glue.

If you remember a week or so ago, I started a twig heart from a collection of twigs gathered on a walk, well.... Tadaaaa! Finished heart.

A reader suggested making stars as well, great idea.

When the heats up...

With the promise of summer, and warm weather (I'm melting today really hot ) our thoughts move to spending time enjoying BBQ's, and cool evening in the garden. Why not add some great out door accessories in the form of big comfy cushions and blankets to lounge about on. I'm loving these brightly colored accessories, just whats needed for summer relaxing and entertaining.
